= La maison qui est dans la rue est grande.

= La femme qui est dans le supermarché a de longs cheveux blonds.

When I use "qui" the second part of the sentence has no subject! So "qui" has a subject function.

But when I use "que" the second part has a subject (I). So "que" has an object function.
